Tower Bridge Exhibition

Tower Bridge Exhibition

Tower Bridge Exhibition showcases the most famous bridge in the world in all its glory. You may have walked across the iconic blue bridge but do you know that you can actually take a lift to the top tier and see London from above? More than 100 years ago, the high-level Walkways used to be open to the public but they also served as a refuge for prostitutes and pickpockets. These days, access is more limited but that does mean there is less crime in London’s skies! Today the floor is made of glass so you can look through and see black cabs and red busses underneath. You may even get lucky and see the river and the ships when the bascules are raised!

But Tower Bridge is more than just the views. It is a living proof of brilliant Victorian engineering and you can see it first hand whilst visiting the Engine Rooms. All of the old equipment is still serviceable and on display. There are also animations, digital displays and videos about London’s most famous bridge so this exhibition will be exciting 1.5 hours spent in the capital.
