London Zoo

The legendary London Zoo is 189 years old. During this time there has been a fantastic array of good natured, exotic animals that have called this zoo home. Today, London Zoo is home to nearly 20,000 amazing animals from all over the world. From graceful Sumatran tigers to Peruvian penguins and funny gorillas, these animals make you feel like you’re in a different world. Along with the wide variety of animals on display, London zoo runs a host of educational tours and shows which are sure to entertain both children and adults.

London Zoo’s most popular exhibits

  • Walk through the shrub forest where the lemurs are jumping, scrabbling and puttering about all around you. It is a new exhibit with 15 ring-tail lemurs and one black and white ruffed lemur brought all the way from Madagascar.
  • The brand new “Get in with the Spiders” exhibition brings one of the most feared animals to the spotlight – the spiders from all over the world. What’s more – it is a walk-through exhibit as well so you can shrug off your fears and get up close to these amazing creatures.
  • Penguin Beach has an underwater viewing platform so that you can see how these cute animals behave under water. Over water, however, you can attend the show to watch how penguins are fed.
  • Butterfly Paradise is another walk-through exhibit where the butterflies are flying freely right in front of you. Look out for giant caterpillars as well!
