Earl’s Court: beautiful family spot in London
Earls court is one of the lesser known areas of London. The area has many affordable hotels but is also largely residential meaning you’ll be able to see what life is like in London for the locals. If you are staying in the area you might want to explore Earl’s Court which boasts many of London’s best parks and could be a brilliant and low-key family day out in the Capital.
Travelling to Earls Court is very easy. Located on the District and Piccadilly lines in Zone 1, it is only a stone’s throw away from South Kensington, Fulham and Chelsea. There are also many buses which connect the West End, Harrods and Notting Hill with the area.
Earl’s Court is full of fun things for tourists to do and it is a very family friendly area of London. The area is home to Holland Park, one of London’s most beautiful parks, along with the renowned Opera Holland Park. It has some of London’s best antique shops along Kensington Church Street and one of the oldest cemeteries, Brompton Cemetery, which has been featured in British literary classics and Hollywood movies.
You are sure to see some proper locals having a chilled pint or a lovely Sunday roast at Earl’s Court’s busy and popular bars and pubs.
